I've discovered Big Daddy, a search engine that pays you to surf the web. You can sign up for free, receive $50 in free advertising, one free TOP Keyword, and a free toolbar.

At the top of this page there is a link to Big Daddy's search engine. Every time someone does a search through that portal, I receive $1, everytime I use the portal to search, I receive $1 in PPC money that I can use on Big Daddy to pay for advertising and buy TOP Keywords. I have my free TOP Keyword, and I've applied for more keywords. When someone clicks on my keyword, I pay for the click with PPC money, not actual cash. A TOP Keyword costs $199 PPC, and if you buy 3 of them you get $5 for a click.

I've been working hard to get the PPC money together to buy my 3 TOP Keywords. I've got enough for 1 more today, but I'm going to wait until I can get all 3 and still have some left in the account to pay for advertising. If I bought a Keyword Sponsor for $29 I would be upgraded immediately to the $5 per click, but I'm trying to do everything for free, so I'm going to see how long it takes me to get the PPC together to get the 3 TOP Keywords.

I would advise you to look it over and if at all possible to get the Keyword Sponsor. This company is growing and will be launching a new service next week.

I apologize for not writing in the blog for so long. I didn't realize it had been as long as it has until I saw the date on the last post I made. I promise to do better, well, at least I'll try. Hope you make tons of money today.

GoldenCAN is a site to look into. They help you put a virtual store on your website. It took me a while to learn the ins and outs of getting all the information they needed to set up the store, but it was worth it. At the bottom of this page is an art store. Go ahead and look through it, and look over GoldenCAN. This is a free service; doesn't charge a flat fee, just requires the fourth click through your site. To use this service you will need to join an affiliate service like Commission Junction (also free to join). They have lists of affiliate programs with lists of banners and text ads and you apply through Commission Junction.

Some of Commission Junction can be confusing. I still haven't figured out the SmartZone Settings. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward. Choose a vendor, check out their banners, choose one (scroll down and most have banners for $0, but not all), get the code, and insert it into the html code editor, preview before publishing your blog, if it looks good publish the blog.

I thought I would never get that banner to working in my signature at WAHM, and I had to ask for help. Took me 2 days, but it's up and running.

I set up my blog at Orable.com. Pretty easy system, although it seemed to be having problems earlier this evening. I'll go back and see it things are back to normal later. Friendly people and interesting writing.

It Pays To Learn sent me a check for $1.08 for the 1 week I've been with them. May not be much, but it's something. As you will see at the end of this post I signed up to be an affiliate. A little bit and a little bit there and it'll add up. Pretty soon instead of $1 it'll be $10 and if everything I have my fingers in can contribute at least $10 a week, that means each one of my blogs, each affiliate program, Helium, Orable, Wise Orb, and It Pays To Learn, I'll be bringing in $560 a month. Hopefully it'll be more than that, but even that amount will help. I'm always looking for new ways to make money, and I've got my eye on two sites that pay for reviews of many different things, not just books, movies, or restaurants. Here are links to them, Epinions.com and ReviewStream.com. ReviewStream looks like it might pay better than Epionions.

Here's a new site that pays you to start a discussion that's called MyLot. I just signed up for this. I really like this kind of site.

Have a good evening,

7 September 2006

I didn't get much done yesterday because Wednesday seems to be my running around day. I did manage to get the mess I made on my webpage the night before last halfway cleaned up.

I tried to delete some html code from the site and I must have taken too much, because the main body was way down below the side columns. That happened in my blog, too, but I was able to figure out what to do about it there. I hadn't deleted important parts of the code, so it was easier to fix.

Today I looked into Orble Weblog Community. It's very similar to Helium, but the main difference between them is Orble is more discriminating about who they accept as authors. On Helium anybody is welcome to write an aswer to the questions. Orble has writer's guidelines they want you to follow. You still write about anything you want to as long as it fits into the guidelines.

I was in another website today and came across the Home Based Business and it intrigued me, so I put in my favorites, while I went on with what I was doing at the time. When I looked at it, it still looked interesting, so I clicked on the sign-up link and the link took me into The ClubShop Mall. This is a dead-end site unless you signup for the plan. There is nothing there to tell you what you'll be selling. I like to know what I'm signing up for before I committ myself. So I passed on this one.

I also spent too much time trying to put a banner in my signature at WAHM.com. I sent out an SOS and I hope I can get that done tomorrow. It's a neat banner from FeedBurner. If you haven't seen one, it's about 1x2 inches with wording that changes between the posts you have on your blog. I'm determined to get it into my signature at WAHM. There are others that have one of these in their signature, so I know it can be done.

I'm going to get back to work. Have a good evening.

5 September 2006

It's been quite a profitable day because I used the list at the WAHM.com forum under Bloggers to sign my blogs up with some Blog Directories. The links to the ones I've applied to are in the sidebar.

Then I came across FeedBurner. I spent most of the day setting up my blogs with them. There is a paid service, but I signed up with the free service. It's quite a setup with all kinds of freebies for you to set up on your blog to track the progress you're making getting traffic. I saved all my code to a floppy so I'll have it.

You'll find links to subscribe to have new posts e-mailed to you as soon as I write them in the sidebar. I like the look of the FeedBurner links and you can customize them. I haven't had time to play with them today. I just set up what was there in the main area and those pretty red icons came with it. I want to explore the site more thoroughly later when I have more time.

I still need to check in with Helium and It Pays to Learn, not to mention Blogitive. I've gotten a few pennies from Helium and IPTL. I also need to work on my website at Bravenet and finish putting the finishing touches on my custom toolbar that I'm getting free and will be giving away to those who want it.

Tomorrow is also a day.

4 September 2006

Since last October my dh hasn't been able to work because his back finally gave out on him. He has 3 bulged discs, osteoarthritis, degeneration, a small broken bone, and a lot of pain.

This situation is what led me to start blogging. I was looking online for a way to make money without having to work outside the home. I don't deal well with working outside the home, or I should say my stomach doesn't like it. There have been several times I've had to leave work because of stomach pain.

I knew I needed to find a job, but my stomach kept giving me fits. I was almost to the point I wasn't able to eat much of anything again, when I decided I needed to find a way to work from home, and I wouldn't look for an outside job anymore. With that decision my stomach problems mostly disappeared.

I've been having so much fun writing my blogs and searching the web for ways to make money at home. I started with those survey companies, but I wasn't getting any money from them, so I stopped doing that and kept looking. I looked into those mock jury sites, but they didn't work out for me.

I received a couple of what I thought were job offers because they told me they were job offers, but they really didn't want to hire me, they just wanted me to click on the offers they had on their site. Most annoying.

I don't remember why, but I came to Blogger and started a family history blog. Before I finished setting up my blog, I knew about AdSense. As you can see I have AdSense on my blogs. I haven't made anything yet, but I have to work to get traffic to my site and then I should start making some money from it.

The next thing I discovered was WAHM.com (or in other words Work At Home Moms). This was the best discovery I made. I joined the forum and have gotten so much information from the site. This is where I learned about Blogitive and managed to earn $20 last week. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it gave me hope that I would be able to make money online.

It was through the forum I learned about Helium.com. I only started on this on Friday and I've made a couple of pennies (literally), and I want to join their affiliate program, but I don't have enough traffic yet.

Make Money Online by Super Mom has lists of these types of work at home opportunities. This site is on Squidoo (don't ask me what it means) and they have a moneymaking opportunity that I want to look into, but haven't yet.

I'm going to have to sign off for now. I'm supposed to be cooking supper, and I do have it on the stove, but it's in danger of burning.
